Fast-food lovers fly thousands of miles to eat “Britain’s largest portion of fish and chips,” which weighs more than a stone and packs in a whopping 4,500 calories.
The Chip Inn in Huthwaite, Nottinghamshire, is famous for its huge crates of groceries and has now claimed it has the largest fish and chip dinner in the country.
The Chippy created the 20-inch codfather, which consists of four breaded cod, three servings of fries, eight sausages, four fish cakes and ten different sauces.
The meal containing gluten, which would set you back 40 pounds, weighs about a stone and four pounds, the same as a 43-inch TV, and the box needs to be wrapped in duct tape to keep it from bursting open.

The daily recommended calorie intake for women is 2,000 calories per day and for men 2,500, with the monstrous meal alone containing a whopping 4,500 calories.
Megann Altinoz, 42, who owns the shop with husband Erdal, 45, said: “It’s the UK’s biggest fish and chip box.
“I’ve never seen one that big. People compete for the biggest doner kebab, but not for fish and chips. The box is really big.
“It’s hard to describe how heavy the crates are, but the 20-inch crates are difficult to lift when finished. I need to get someone to help me lift.
“It’s like a workout. They are so full that we have to wrap them in duct tape and force them shut.
“A lot of people see them online and say they can do it, and then their friends usually say they want to try too.
“Nobody has been able to finish the box yet.”
The chip shop first rose to fame in 2019 for selling “the world’s largest kebab,” which contained 5,350 calories.
The diner says customers are flocking from Florida, U.S., more than 4,000 miles away, to get their hands on the food.

Ms Altinoz added: “We had people come from the US. They traveled to London and came to our shop because they heard about it online.
“Our kebab box, the largest in the world, has gone viral. The Codfather box is actually five inches taller than this one.
“It’s amazing that people all over the world know us because of our boxes. We definitely have American portions.
“When we notice a different accent in the store, we ask if they’ve traveled far, and we still get people who are from far away.
“We’ve had people come from Scotland and Cornwall to try them.”
Ms Altinoz added: “The shop has been a family business for around 24 years. We took over in 2010 and started manufacturing the different food boxes in 2017.
“The idea came about when a customer came in and ordered a kebab and asked if we could put it in a pizza box.
“We made a video of it and shared it on Facebook and it just went from there. Now our weekends are absolutely crazy and people are queuing outside.”
The large selection of dishes ranges from fish dishes and burger boxes to a meat special with doner kebab, chicken and two large portions of fries.
However, Ms Altinoz claims the most popular is the famous burger box, which consists of a 10-inch pizza topped with four burgers.
The 30-pound meal also includes shawarma and chicken meat, onion rings and chicken nuggets.
The meal videos posted by the couple have been viewed millions of times, with one receiving more than 25,000 comments.
“We have a lot of people commenting on the videos on Facebook,” Ms. Altinoz added.
“We even had someone tag Gordon Ramsay in one of the videos to see if they would do a TikTok video about her.
“We also had Will Mellor who shared them. It’s all gone crazy.”
