Cannock Chase Forest will draw the eyes of the world when it hosts the mountain bike competitions

Cannock Chase Forest is a popular destination with many visitors biking, walking the trails, visiting the Go Ape Center and more.

Now it will host the mountain bike event with around 2,500 ticketed spectators expected, plus many more lining the way to catch a glimpse of the event.

Ticket holders have exclusive access to the viewing area near the start/finish area and a passout system will be issued for ticket holders who wish to access the trail viewing areas.

Here’s what you need to know about the venue if you’re traveling there for the games:

Cannock Chase Forest is conveniently located near junction 12 of the M6 ​​motorway, making it easy to get to.

Those traveling to Cannock Chase Forest by train were advised to take a train to Stafford station, where there are regular shuttle buses to the venue.

The journey takes around 30-35 minutes and the first shuttle of the day leaves the station around three hours before the start of the event.

The shuttle buses run until about two hours after the end of the event and are included in the game ticket.

Shuttle buses do not need to be pre-booked for ticket holders, but non-ticket holders must pre-book their shuttle, which can be done on the website: parkthecarhere.com/CarPark.aspx?eventid=7025

As mentioned above, event ticket holders have access to the free shuttle bus service, which is located at Stafford Train Station, and do not need to book in advance.

For those wishing to drive to the venue, the event website states that there are temporary road restrictions and no parking or pickup and drop-off at the venue, with the exception of pre-booked spectator parking and lanes and blue badge parking.

Drivers are advised to use the park and walking trails or blue plaque parking lots pre-booked on the day of the event, as well as the accessible golf buggy service.
