James Argent has enjoyed changing up his wardrobe since losing weight, giving him a newfound confidence.

The former Towie star is currently sunbathing on holiday in Mykonos and it’s a very different experience for him that he feels different in his body now.

Arg, 34, has lost noticeable weight over the past year following gastric sleeve surgery which resulted in him dropping 14 stones and a strict fitness and healthy eating plan.

With his new physique, Arg has also changed his fashion game and is more comfortable in looks he couldn’t wear before the weight loss.

In his latest Instagram post, the singer shared a series of photos of himself rocking a chic Versace-esque tropical patterned shirt while posing with a cigar and sunglasses.

He wrote in the caption: “I accept and trust myself, I really do have a sense of control in my life. I know my strengths & weaknesses well, I finally have a positive self-image.

“I like to be different and I can deal with criticism. Not everyone is going to like my style or the way I dress but I’ve lost 14 stone in weight so I have the right to wear whatever the hell I want 🙌🏼’

It comes after Arg reflected on his transformation with before and after photos of his weight loss.

Last month, the ex-reality star shared a photo of him beaming out of a hospital bed and wrote, “Celebrating my one year surgery anniversary,” with a Before tag in the photo.

The next photo with an after tag shows Arg now, 13 stone lighter and looking fit and healthy while smiling in the sun.

Arg thanked We Are Transform for their support on his journey, writing that it was the “best decision I’ve ever made.”

The TV star lost the weight within nine months of surgery after doctors warned he could die if he didn’t lose weight.

At his heaviest point, Arg weighed 27 Stein after gaining a lot of weight during the pandemic and subsequent lockdowns.

His lifestyle change came after a near-fatal overdose on Christmas Day 2019, prompting him to seek help to overcome his drug and alcohol problems.
