Pets at Home is releasing a summer collection to keep cool and have fun in the sun

Pets at Home has launched its new summer range of pets to help owners have lots of fun outdoors with their furry friends while keeping them safe and protected from the sun.

From dog-friendly sunscreen and cooling vests to popsicles and garden toys, and even a special summertime spa care pack, there’s something for pets of all sizes.

Throughout July, Pets at Home is also encouraging its customers to donate as much as they can to Hearing Dogs For Deaf People – the charity it is supporting this summer – either through online donations, in-store donations or by upgrading their spa package dog.

Luxurious summer spa treatments for dogs

From June 15th to August 31st, enhance your dog’s regular grooming routine with a luxurious summer spa treatment at The Groom Room.

These include a Floral Fantasy shampoo and spritz, moisturizing butter treatment, application of teeth cleaning gel and fresh breath foam, SPA blueberry facial to remove tear stains, and paw and nose balm. All pooches also get a free summer bow tie to top off their new look.

The Summer Spa Package can be added for £10 and £1 from each session goes to the Hearing Dogs for Deaf People charity via the Pets at Home Foundation.

To book your dog’s groomer, visit your local salon to make an appointment or book online through the Pets at Home website.

Karen Heskin, Head of Pets at Pets at Home, said: “We all know that life is better with pets, and summer is a great time to create special memories with them, whether that’s in the garden, at the beach or on a walk in the country.

“It’s important to keep pets cool – always make sure they have shaded areas to relax in and that they have access to cool water – cooling mats and toys can also help.

“More frequent grooming is also recommended, particularly for long-haired dogs, and any exposed skin, including on the ears and nose, should be protected with pet-friendly sunscreen if they are going to be in the sun for any length of time.”
