Ideal Home Show back in Glasgow this week: everything you need to know

The Ideal Home Show Scotland returns to Glasgow this week and organizers are promising “the biggest home and garden show” will be “the best yet”.

Held over four days, it features four separate exhibition areas full of ideas and hundreds of brands – ideal for people looking to make improvements to their home or moving into a new home.

The Home Show will also host celebrity guests, show homes and show gardens, and the Eat & Drink Festival to ensure attendees have plenty of food to enjoy on their day.

When is it?

The show begins on Thursday May 26th with the final day on Sunday May 29th.

What Glaswegians can expect from this year’s show

The opening times are daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Where is it?

The Ideal Home Show Scotland 2022 will be held at SEC Glasgow.

What can participants expect?

Organizers say: “Attendees can indulge in shopping therapy from over 400 brands from Designer Sofas Group, Little Miss Soy and Robertson Fine Art, and upgrade their home from the inside out with big brands like CR Smith and Hydropool.

“Visitors can also experience first-hand the latest interior design trends and themes with inspiring living spaces in the Good Homes Roomsets. See the latest must-have accessories and furniture styled to perfection in a vibrant, sophisticated environment.

“Those with a green thumb can visit Show Gardens, who are collaborating with Erskine Garden for inspiration on how to transform tired trellises and create inviting outdoor spaces no matter the size.”

Who are the celebrity guests?

Danni Menzies, John Amabile, Rosemary Shrager and Martin Roberts will take the main stage to share insider knowledge on how to transform your home and garden, offer real estate advice and discuss the latest technology in home renovation.

Can you get food and drink there?

The Eat & Drink Festival, sponsored by Thermomix, offers a “gastrological extravaganza” with live cooking demonstrations, tastings, delicious drops from the champagne bar or a bite from delicious suppliers Equi’s Ice Cream, Hush Hush Chefs and Mhor Bread and much more.

What did the organizers say?

Giles Perry, Event Director, said: “The last two years have been a very turbulent one for the events industry and so we’re delighted to bring another fun-filled day to Scotland.”

He continued, “We can’t wait to welcome our sponsors, the hundreds of exhibitors and the thousands of visitors to what we think is an outstanding 2022 event.”

The show will be officially opened by Erskine Garden along with Pony Major Mark Wilkinson and Cruachan from the Royal Regiment of Scotland. Whistles, drums and dancers from Queen Victoria School Dunblane will also perform as part of the grand opening.
