2022 Home and Garden draws another year to a close

Home and Garden 2022 has come to an end and it was a great weekend! There were over 100 stands with different offers. From floors, gutters, tractors, hair, nail and face care, greenhouses, beautiful custom furniture and pet photography to name a few. There were also non-profit organizations that could make their case in front of hundreds of people.

A popular part of the show was the Backyard Makeover Giveaway.

The items in the package were provided at the front doors when people came in. Guests were greeted with beautiful flowers and plants by Pollen Landscaping. The patriotic fire pit was custom made by Grizzly Fabrication, one of the vendors at the show, and people definitely stopped to look at the details. The Buffalo Hill Stepping Stone sturdy stepping stone was a great addition to the pack. Last but not least, let’s not forget the Proffit’s Lawn Care gift certificate which left our winner, Peggy Clarke, speechless!

Another great addition to the show were the food trucks.

There were a select few who joined us this year and we were fortunate to have them with us. The famous kettle corn was back by popular demand and it was hard to resist as you came and went to the show. Bubble T’s Boba Tea got people very excited to be back with their refreshing drinks for the summer. Who can do without ice cream in any weather? The box ice cream truck has joined us this year with its cold and delicious treats. There was also the truck from Gary’s Rojo o Verde. It was their first time in Cody and the community welcomed them with open arms. Quoted on Facebook: “In the 4 years we have been in business, we have never had such intense business as yesterday and today. You have our thanks and admiration! Until next time, thanks again.”

I have to say that the best thing for me, apart from how busy the weekend was at the Riley Ice Arena, was hearing the community’s excitement about what we’re doing on Big Horn Radio Network. They told us about their favorite personalities on the air, were new to the area and wanted to know everything about our stations and complimented us on the fact that the national anthem is played every day at noon. The best part of my job is seeing how we connect with and within the people in our community.

Mark your calendars for next year’s show on May 19 & 20, 2023. Make sure to tune in to what we have in store this summer!
