Many of the top ten properties were in the highly desirable East Lothian region, with four of the top five (and five of the top ten overall) being in this part of the country.

Family homes topped the list in April with only two homes making the top ten – the rest of the most popular properties were homes with three bedrooms or more, showing demand for larger homes that offer buyers flexibility to accommodate family living to enable is still strong and hybrid working.

ESPC CEO Paul Hilton said: “The most viewed properties on espc.com in April are really a mixed bag in terms of style, size and budget but what we can clearly see is that demand remains incredibly high, particularly for East Lothian . Additionally, buyers seem to be focusing on finding homes that stand out from the market, with many of the most popular properties offering something unique – be it quirky stone homes, homes with rare historical features, or properties that have an exclusive, private feel.
