Creepy real estate listing shows house with Michael Myers in photos

Looking for an apartment and particularly courageous?

A seemingly innocent looking property has gone viral thanks to a disturbing figure lurking in the background of some photos – disturbingly dressed like the killer from the Halloween film series.

The Carlinville, Illinois home, which appeared on Zillow earlier this week, is priced at $169,000 (£135,000).

Owners Danielle, 40, and Owen Sullivan, 53, apparently decided to help the property stand out from the crowd by paying homage to the classic horror film and having someone wearing a white mask and a knife pose in the background.

In one shot “Michael” peeks out from behind a curtain, while in others he sits menacingly in the background, crossed legs and staring at the camera.

It’s a special atmosphere.

One particularly creepy photo shows him sitting on the stairs with a knife in his hand.

Another corker shows only his legs and the tip of the blade.

Aside from the creepy houseguest, the home features four bedrooms and bathrooms (two full baths and two half baths) and spans 2,750 square feet.

The kitchen has French doors leading to the patio and breakfast bar/island. And outside you will find a patio and garden area and cute stone steps leading up to the house.

The spacious house could do with a bit of updating (and possibly some sort of exorcism to sort Michael) but it definitely has potential.

However, online comments appeared to be quite focused on Michael over the house itself, with one viewer writing, “But why is Michael Meyers wearing socks and not shoes?”

Someone else joked, “As long as he cooks and cleans, we won’t have any problems.”

Others took more offense at the house than the killer costume, with one reviewer commenting, “That bathroom is the real horror.”

Ouch.
