Stacey Solomon shares the ‘perfect’ £5 DIY garden hack anyone can create at home

Loose Women’s Stacey Solomon has shared an “amazing” DIY garden hack using products that cost just over a fiver.

The 32-year-old took to Instagram today (May 2) to share stories about her latest gardening project. In the videos, she can be seen painting over two ceramic flower pots with a can of concrete spray.

Stacey, who lives in her so-called Pickle Cottage with her fiancé Joe Swash and their children, often takes to social media to update her fans on the property’s renovations.

In the first post, Stacey holds a can of Rust-Oleum Natural Effects Spray, which she then uses to paint the ceramic pots white. She writes: “I found a concrete spray that has a matte concrete look with different tones. It has really good coverage, so you could probably do four or five of these.”

In the second video, the mother films herself running a can of PlastiKote stone spray over the freshly painted pots. The caption reads, “Then I applied the stone spray just for some extra texture. i love this stuff Don’t bother with the grass, I should have put some cardboard down but it will squirt.

Stacey then shares a picture of the two flower pots, explaining that they cost £4.50 from Sainsbury’s and that only a quarter of the spray is used to paint each pot. In the Post, she writes: “So these pots were £4.50 and the spray I used was around ¼ of each so around £1”.

In the last picture, the freshly painted pots can finally be seen in use. Stacey captioned the explanation of the hack, “And now they look perfect for the pool. I’ve put some shrubs in to test, but these won’t be what’s going on in your head. I love her for a fiver.”
