Northants Telegraph Sunday Extra: Weetabix teardown, fashion show and 1960’s music concert

Corby’s former Weetabix factory will be demolished within weeks

We have so much news these days that we can’t always squeeze it all into the work week. Every Sunday we bring you updates on breaking stories, some news in brief and other things you need to know from across Corby, Wellingborough, East Northamptonshire and Kettering.

Corby’s former Weetabix factory will be demolished within weeks of the planners agreeing to the demolition. Its new owners revealed their plans for the site exclusively in the Northants Telegraph last month. They want to set up a new camp on the site.

They had applied to North Northamptonshire Council for permission to demolish the existing buildings to make way for the new project. However, on Thursday (April 28), planners confirmed that no prior approval was required and demolition could proceed.
