Nicole Scherzinger is ready to return to the big stage after fans were disappointed with the canceled Pussycat Dolls tour.
It will be the singer’s solo tour in eight years, having previously left her own music to focus on her band and TV career.
And while the girl band’s much-anticipated reunion tour never made it onto the stage, they’ve now announced they’ll be going solo instead.
Speaking from an intimate show in Los Angeles, The Sun reports that the 43-year-old Don’t Cha singer said: “I’ve been writing something lately and I’ve been working on this album.”
She had five solo top ten singles ahead of her, including her hit Don’t Hold Your Breath.
She played the track at her little gig while Beau Thom Evans looked on.
She also performed one of her newly written tunes entitled Never Going Back. In revealing lyrics, Nicole blared, “I’ve been underappreciated, hollowed out, underappreciated.
“If you only knew what it takes to beat it every day.
“You see, you don’t know where I come from, you don’t know what I’m made of, you don’t know.
“If you don’t live my story, then you don’t live my fame… I’ll never go back.” I’ve come too far for it, I’ve fought too hard to miss it.”
Her decision to make a U-turn as a solo artist on tour will come as a surprise to many of her fans who have been looking forward to the Pussycat Dolls getting back together.
It was believed that the group had planned to release a number of songs together and were ready to sign a new management deal.
Nicole isn’t looking back, however, hinting that she’s almost ready to release her own album, titled Warrior.
Earlier this month, the Hawaii native showed off her stunning figure as she posed on the beach in a daring thong bikini.
The musician shared the photos, which showed her in a two-piece swimwear set including a thong, with her 5.2million followers on Instagram.
She wrote: “Have a naughty week everyone! Wishing you… swipe right to find out.” The final slide featured the words “Love, Peace and Happiness” written in the sand.
The post was very well received by her followers, who sent tons of congratulations and free messages to the star.
