British Airways and easyJet have canceled more than 100 flights between them in the past week. Today airlines had no choice but to once again cancel some flights to and from UK airports.
The scenes at Manchester Airport haven’t changed much in the past week.
Queues continue to line the airport and people wait for their delayed flights.
Flights were canceled every day, ruining the Easter travel plans of thousands.
Today, April 11, more flights have been canceled to and from Manchester and Heathrow airports, as well as other airports across the country.

Simon Calder appeared on GB News this morning to update viewers on the latest cancellations. He said, “Today we’re going to see 100 [cancelled flights] from Heathrow, Gatwick and Luton.
“British Airways says most of these passengers were informed about a week ago and have therefore had ample time to make alternative arrangements.
“From what I can see, easyJet’s cancellations are mostly about 48 hours in advance.”
According to Passenger Rights, Simon added that the airline “must offer you an alternative flight on another airline, if necessary, to get you to your destination on the day you intend to go”.
DO NOT MISS:
British Airways has canceled many domestic and European flights to and from Heathrow.
Most easyJet cancellations were to and from Gatwick, with some also intending to fly to and from Edinburgh and Glasgow.
Passengers have been advised to check with their airlines for the latest information.
Flights have been canceled in recent days due to staff shortages.
“I also want to make it clear that a lot of work is going into improving the situation in the short term.
“Our focus for the next four weeks is to provide passengers with a more predictable and reliable level of service.”
The chief executive added that in the past two months alone, his company has interviewed “more than 4,000 people” for various positions at the airport.
Many successful interviewees have already started, and another 250 new hires are expected after security clearance and training in early May.
