Batman 2 fan art imagines Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi star Joel Edgerton as Mr. Freeze, a popular villain choice for the sequel.
The Batman is out and many fans are really enjoying the film. Of course, talk of a sequel is all the rage now, and one fan artist introduced himself Star Wars: Obi Wan Kenobi Actor Joel Edgerton as Mr. Freeze for Next Main Villain.
The Batman Stars Robert Pattinson in the lead role, with Zoe Kravitz, Jeffrey Wright and Paul Dano all starring in the popular comic book adaptation. The film follows a much younger Bruce Wayne in his early days as a crimefighter and his dealings with the calculated Riddler. This film was heavily influenced by noir films and even the real Zodiac Killer.
A twisted version of Mr. Freeze would fit very well into the dark world established by The Batman Director Matt Reeves. Fans hoping to get an idea might have to keep waiting, but Instagram artist m.design34 interpreted this character in his own way by choosing Edgerton as the actor for the role. The look they went for keeps the actor’s facial features intact, but with the addition of the glass helmet commonly associated with Mr. Freeze. There is a possibility that Reeves suffers from a skin condition or illness that forces Mr. Freeze to wear the helmet. Since The Batman As the world is separate from other films, it’s very likely that fans will see much more down-to-earth shots of the other villains who later join the films.
This villain’s backstory is arguably one of the most likable and less villainous of all of Batman’s enemies. Victor Fries, also known as Mr. Freeze, was the victim of a horrific accident that forced him to stay in cooler temperature environments. His main plight is the mission to rescue his wife, who has been cryogenically frozen until Fries can find a cure for her illness. Most of Fries’ exploits involve him stealing money and taking technology for his research in order to bring it back to life.
The alternative possibility, based on the published Joker scene, would be that Mr. Freeze looks deformed like the Joker. That Mr. Freeze was the victim of a horrific accident that resulted in him being hooked up to a machine sounds consistent with the world Reeves created. Mr. Freeze would likely be a terrifying walking corpse terrorizing Gotham in a sequel film, but of course only time will tell when the film finally gets released.
The Batman is currently in cinemas.
